Still Alive & Still Tech Impaired

Well, my 'I need new tech' fund is a bit fatter than when last I posted, but it's slow going. Anybody else find it a cruel twist of irony that there are such astounding sales going & still nobody has the cash to take part? Cuz I do. I hope this missive finds you all well & lemme just say a quick hello to my newest blog follower. Hello!

I'm still having trouble getting things going when trying to actually write things out on paper, so instead (and yes, I know this won't improve my word counts any) I've been reading a lot. I just finished
Son of a Witch, the sequel to Wicked. They're an interesting take on the world of Oz & a good example of how the same events can be taken from differing directions.

How 'bout you? Read anything good lately?

Oooh! I promised the muses I'd get them Son of a Witch...I got them a Jasper Fforde book instead. Is it good?

Lots of luck with the tech fund. Hope you're up and running again soon!! Don't feel bad about reading, because that only feeds the fire & you'll be able to crank out some amazing prose when you're able to again. =)

*hugs*

Thanks for the welcome. My best wishes on the tech front. I've read Son of a Witch too, what do you think of it? Personally, the end dissapointed me.

Have I read anything good lately? Hmm...do you consider reading "fluff" stuff good reading? LOL I've read the first two in a series by Anya Bast. Sheer guilty pleasure reading...LOL

I liked it, yeah. A touch slow to get going, but the general premise isn't bad (tho' depending on where he is in the story, I sometimes liked Liir & other times just wanted to smack him, lol).

Ty. I'm working on it, but it's slow going as I'm pretty much a pauper, lol. And yeah, that's kinda what I figure too. *hug*

No prob. It's always nice getting new readers & ty. I enjoyed it, mostly. I'm not WILDLY gone on his writing style, it's not bad, but it's not 'oh I LOVE it!' either. Mostly, I like the premise. For the most part I enjoyed seeing more of the world & watch Liir through his changes, but I did feel the ending was a bit abrupt.

Lol, eh...if you like fluff it counts :)

Yeah, the premise and the world are what pulled me in too.

P.S. I noticed you're following my random thoughts, thanks!

I did read something recently besides fluff...Knee Deep In Paradise by Brett Butler. *grin*
